Directions
From Portland:
Take Sunset Highway (Hwy. 26) approximately 15 miles
west of downtown Portland. Turn off at exit 57 (Glencoe Road). Turn
left onto Glencoe Road and drive south six miles. Glencoe Road changes
names to First Street, Hwy. 219 and Hillsboro Hwy. Just stay the
course. This route will take you into Hillsboro, then straight to
Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve. The Jackson Bottom North Viewsite
is just south of town adjacent to Clean Water Services wastewater
treatment plant. The Wetlands Education Center is located 0.8 miles
farther down Hillsboro Hwy. (also called Hwy. 219) near Clean Water
Services Water Quality Lab. If you cross the Tualatin River, you
have gone too far. The south end of the Preserve is where the trails
are located (when they are not flooded!).
From Beaverton/Aloha:
Take TV Highway (Hwy. 8) west to Hillsboro.
Travel past the Sunset Esplanade Shopping Center and turn west (left)
on Baseline (still Hwy. 8). Go south (left) on First Street, which
later evolves into Highway 219 and Hillsboro Hwy. The Jackson Bottom
Wetlands Preserve North Viewsite is just south of town adjacent
to Clean Water Services wastewater treatment plant. The Wetlands
Education Center is located 0.8 miles farther down Hwy. 219 near
Clean Water Services Water Quality Lab. If you cross the Tualatin
River, you have gone too far. The south end of the Preserve is where
the trails are located (when they are not flooded!).
From Forest Grove:
Take TV Highway 8 east toward Hillsboro for several
miles. Turn south on First Street (Highway 219). See above for further
directions.
