Creeks and Kids

Watershed Education Workshops For Educators

The Creeks and Kids Workshop, for all educators and volunteers, uses learning strategies from three curriculums that are a mix of field work and classroom activities. Stream Scene (which is the main curriculum guide) and Project WET and Project WILD Aquatic are designed to move students from classroom activities to the stream and its watershed. Educators are taken from basic concepts such as water cycle and watershed through concepts in watershed function, mapping, macroinvertebrates, fish sampling, water quality, wildlife inventory and related topics. Field work includes a complete stream survey.
